WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Coker College men's soccer team came up just short of a clean sweep of their trip to the Sunshine State on Monday when they suffered a 1-0 loss to Rollins College. The loss moves the Cobras to 1-1 on the 2011 season.
In a very evenly matched game, Rollins' Rob Crowley scored the game's only goal in the 25th minute.
James Sweeney (Huntingtown, Md.) recorded four saves in the net and Rommel Fondin (Palm Bay, Fla.) had two of the Cobras four shots.
Coker returns home for their next match on Saturday against Francis Marion at 7 p.m. at the Coker Soccer Field.
