Coker Assistant Coach to Play for Charlotte Hounds of MLL

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker College assistant men's lacrosse coach, Corey Geroy, has been acquired by the Charlotte Hounds of Major League Lacrosse.

Geroy was selected after attending an open tryout in early March. He has been the Cobras assistant since the fall of 2012. He helped lead Coker to a 5-10 season in 2013 and was instrumental in the Cobras attack strategy. This season the Cobras averaged 9.67 goals per game.

As a player, Geroy was an attacker for the Queens University of Charlotte Royals from 2009-2012. Over his four-year career, he accumulated 71 goals and 61 assists for a total of 132 points. He ranks second on Queens' all-time point leader, and all-time assist lists. He also ranks third in goals.

The 2013 Major League Lacrosse season runs from April to August, and the Hounds open their 2013 season on April 27 against the Denver Outlaws.
