Coker College head women’s volleyball coach Julia Rowland has announced the addition of six new players for the 2018-19 season. The Cobras welcome Emily Everton, Lana Strejcek, Rami Mullen, Olivia Cerick, Caroline Layne, and Gabby Milo to the Coker family.
Coker College women’s volleyball player Taylor du Bray has been named to the 2017 All-South Atlantic Conference Honorable Mention Team for her performance this season, the conference office announced on Wednesday (Nov. 15).
In their first ever South Atlantic Conference Tournament bid, Coker women’s volleyball traveled to Anderson University for the quarterfinal match against the Trojans. The Cobras lost in three sets (13-25, 17-25, 20-25) to the #1 seed.
The Coker College Athletic Department, in conjunction with the Cobra Club, will host a fundraising dinner on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the DeLoach Center. All proceeds from the dinner will benefit Coker’s more than 450 student-athletes that compete in 25 NCAA Division II sports.
The Coker women’s volleyball team finished their regular season schedule against fellow South Atlantic Conference member Lenoir-Rhyne Saturday (Nov. 11) afternoon. The Navy and Gold took the match 3-1 (28-26, 20-25, 25-21, 25-20).
The Coker College women’s basketball team defeated the Belmont Abbey Crusaders 71-66 Friday (Nov. 10) night in their regular season opener. The Cobras improved to 1-0 with their victory in their first game of the Conference Carolinas-SAC Showdown.
