Coker Set to Host Conference Carolinas Softball Tournament

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Conference Carolinas Softball tournament is set to get underway on Friday, April 20 through Sunday, April 22 at Bylery Park in Hartsville, S.C. Once again Coker will be the host for the three-day event, which officially kicks off on Thursday night with a awards banquet for the eight teams participating in the tournament. At the banquet teams will recognize senior players and All-Conference Award winners, including awarding Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors.

Games will begin on Friday morning starting at 10:00 a.m. with two games being played simultaniously on fields six and eight at Byerly.

North Greenville University was the regular season champions, giving them the #1 seed in the eight-team, double elimination tournament. Host Coker College is the #7 seed and they will take the field at 12:00 p.m. Friday against the #2 seed Mount Olive College.

Tickets for the tournament can be purchased at the gate. Cost is $5.00 for an adult day pass, $2.00 for students with a valid school ID and children under 6 are free.
