Cobra Club BINGO Night – Thursday, April 10

Calling all BINGO enthusiasts! The Coker College Cobra Club will be hosting a BINGO Night on Thursday, April 10, 2014. BINGO Night will be a fundraiser for the Cobra Club with all proceeds benefiting Coker’s athletic teams.

Admission is free and cards start at $1 with tons of prizes for everyone. BINGO Night will be held in Coker’s Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Men’s Volleyball

  • The men’s volleyball team closed out its season at Warner University.

    • Friday at 3:00 p.m. (H) – Newberry

    • Lincoln Memorial  - 6-5 (L), 6-4 (W), 7-3 (L)
  • This week Coker will take on UNC Pembroke in a two-game non-conference mid-week series. Then they will play host to Newberry College in a three-game SAC series on Friday and Saturday.

Men’s & Women’s Tennis

    • Saturday at 1:00 p.m. (A) – Barton
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Newberry – 9-0 (L) – women, 9-0 (W) – men
    • Shaw – 5-4 (L) – women, 6-0 (W) – men
    • UNC Pembroke – 9-0 (L) - women
  • The No. 33 Coker men stretched their winning streak to seven last week. This week the Cobras will play host to Tusculum and then travel to Barton.

Men’s & Women’s Golf

  • Last week’s tournaments:
    • (M) - UNC Pembroke Intercollegiate
    • (W) - None
  • The Cobra men placed fourth at the UNC Pembroke Intercollegiate last week. The third consecutive top 10 finish for the men. Coker will now prepare for the SAC Championship, which begins on April 13 in Sevierville, Tenn.

    • Saturday at 1:00 p.m. (H) –Tusculum (DH)
  • Last week’s games:
    • Lenoir-Rhyne – 7-0 (L), 6-4 (L)

  • The softball team will take on Wingate on Tuesday. They will then host Tusculum on Saturday.  

Men’s Lacrosse

  • This week’s games:
    • Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (A) – Mars Hill
  • Last week’s games:
    • Catawba – 11-7 (W)
  • The Coker men’s lacrosse team picked up a crucial victory over Catawba last week to improve to 4-2 in the SAC. The Cobras are now in a three-way tie for second place in the league standings with Catawba and Mars Hill. This week’s game against Mars Hill will determine the final seedings for the conference tournament.

Women’s Lacrosse

    • Monday at 3:00 p.m. (A) – Chowan
    • Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. (A) – Brevard
    • Friday at 6:00 p.m. (A) – Newberry

    • Furman – 17-5 (L) – exhibition
    • Catawba – 11-10 (L) – OT
  • This week the women will travel to Chowan on Monday, they will then head to Brevard on Wednesday and then finally they will travel to Newberry on Friday.
