Baseball

    • St. Andrews – (W) 12-2
    • Erskine – (W) 3-0, (L) 7-2
  • The baseball team secured the No. 2 seed for this weekend’s Conference Carolinas Tournament. The Cobras will take on the No. 5 seed Pfeiffer Falcons in their first game of the double elimination tournament on Thursday. The tournament is being played in Burlington, N.C. at the Burlington Royals Athletic Stadium.

Softball

  • This week’s games:
    • None
  • Last week’s games:
    • Queens – (W) 7-4
    • King – (W) 1-0 – 12 innings
    • North Greenville – (L) 9-0
    • Mount Olive – (L) 4-2
  • The softball team finished out the 2013 season by going 2-2 at the Conference Carolinas Tournament. The Cobras placed third at the tournament. Outfielders Sarah Rountree (Frist Team) and Sydney Weatherford (Second Team) earned all-conference honors. Coker completes the year with a 26-18 record, going 12-8 in conference play.

Men’s and Women’s Tennis

  • Last week’s matches:
    • Erskine – (L) 5-0 – women
    • Barton – (W) 5-0 – men  
    • Pfeiffer – (W) 5-1 – men
    • Limestone – (L) 5-2 – men
  • The Coker men lost a tough match to the Limestone Saints in the Conference Carolinas tournament final last week. Seven Cobras received All-Conference honors. On the women’s team Daniela Chipe was a second team selection and Jessi Campos was a third team selection. For the men, Tom Simpson was named Coach of the Year, Andre Staab was a first team selection and was named Freshman of the Year, James Corfield and William Marrafao were second team selections and Tom Sizeland was a third team selection. Corfield and Martin Moncayo also earned all-tournament honors. The Cobra men will wait to see if they earn an at-large berth to the NCAA tournament. Selections will be announced on Tuesday (Apr. 23) at 8:30 p.m.

Men’s & Women’s Golf

    • Conference Carolinas Tournament – 7 of 11 – women, 9 of 10 -men
  • Last week the Coker men’s and women’s golf teams competed in the Conference Carolinas Tournament. The women finished seventh and the men finished ninth. Taylor Demby and Sara Allen both finished in the top 15 individually for the women, while Christopher Fuga, Aaron Beebe and Jake Murphy all finished in the top 30 for the men.
