Cobra Spotlight

Men’s Volleyball

• This week’s matches:
  • Monday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Cairn
  • Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Erskine

• Last week’s matches:
  • Barton (W) – 3-2

• The men’s volleyball team extended its winning streak to four matches last week with its 3-2 win over Barton. The Cobras have now won five of their last six matches. This week they will host two matches, Cairn on Monday and Erskine on Tuesday.  

Baseball

• This week’s games:
  • Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. (A) – Benedict
  • Friday at 2:00 p.m. (H) – Pfeiffer
  • Saturday at 12 p.m. (H) – Pfeiffer (DH)

• Last week’s games:
  • Claflin (W) – 6-3
  • King – (W) 10-2, (L) 6-5, (W) 9-2

• The regionally ranked No. 9 baseball team went 3-1 last week, winning its Conference Carolinas series with King 2-1. The Cobras are now 6-3 in league play, and 14-7 overall. This week they will travel to Benedict for a non-conference game and then host Pfeiffer in a three-game conference series on Friday and Saturday.

Softball

  • Monday at 2:00 p.m. (H) – Catawba (DH)
  • Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. (H) – Mount Olive (DH)
  • Thursday at 2:00 p.m. (A) – Belmont Abbey (DH)
  • Saturday at 1:00 p.m. (H) – Limestone (DH)
  • Sunday at 1:00 p.m. (A) – Pfeiffer (DH)

• Last week’s games:
  • North Greenville – (W) 1-0, (W) 3-2
  • West Liberty – (W) 9-1 – 6 inn., (W) 7-1
  • Queens – (W) 3-2, (W) 6-3

• Last week the softball team extended it’s winning streak to eight games, including six straight Conference Carolinas victories. The Cobras are now 6-0 in league play and 12-4 overall. This week will be a busy week for the Cobras as they play 10 games in seven days, six of which will be played at home.  

Men’s and Women’s Tennis

• This week’s matches:
  • Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. (A) – Newberry
  • Saturday at 9:30 a.m. (A) – Presbyterian (M)
  • Saturday at 11:00 a.m. (A) – Converse (W)
  • Sunday at 12:00 p.m. (A) – Queens

• Last week’s matches:
  • Barton – (L) 6-3 – women, (W) 6-3 – men
  • Lenoir-Rhyne – (W) 6-3 – women, (W) 9-0 – men
  • Pfeiffer – (L) 8-1 – women, (W) 6-3 - men

• The Coker men’s tennis team stretched its winning streak to six matches last week and improved to 4-0 in conference play. This week the Cobra tennis teams will hit the road to play four matches, including a match against Division I Presbyterian and two conference matches versus Converse and Queens.

Men’s Lacrosse

• This week’s games:
  • Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. (H) – Belmont Abbey
  • Thursday at 3:30 p.m. (H) – Wingate

• Last week’s games:
  • Limestone (L) – 16-5

• The men’s lacrosse team will play their first home games of the season this week, taking on conference rival Belmont Abbey (Tuesday) and future South Atlantic Conference foe Wingate (Thursday).
