Men's Soccer

• This week's games:

  • Queens – 3-0 (W)
  • Limestone – 2-1 (W)
  • Lees-McRae- 1-0 (W)

• The nationally ranked No. 5 Cobras became the 2011 Conference Carolinas Men’s Soccer Tournament Champions after going a perfect 3-0 during the conference tournament. Alan Cuevas, Brendan McCarron and Niko Tirkkonen all received All-Tournament Team honors and Noah Lascell was named tournament MVP for his two game-winning goals in the semifinal and final games. Coker will now wait to see when and where they will play the NCAA Southeast Regional. The NCAA will announce the regional field on Monday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. with a live selection show online starting at 7 p.m. on NCAA.com.

Women’s Basketball

• This week’s games:
  • Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (H)- Lynn University

• Last week’s games:
  • University of Kentucky- 86-44 (L)

• The Coker women’s basketball team will host their first regular season game of the season on Saturday when they host the Fighing Knights of Lynn University. The Cobras took on Division I University of Kentucky over the weekend losing 86-44 to the nationally ranked No. 15 Wildcats in an exhibition game in Lexington, Kentucky.

Men’s Basketball

  • Friday at 8:00 p.m. (A)- Francis Marion @ UNCP Holiday Classic
  • Saturday at 4:00 p.m. (A)- UNC Pembroke @ UNCP Holiday Classic

• Last week’s games:
  • Team Life Sports- 68-65 (W)

• The Coker men’s basketball team will play their first regular season games of the season this week on the road at the UNC Pembroke Holiday Classic. The Cobras will open play against local rival Francis Marion on Friday and then finish up play at the classic on Saturday versus host UNC Pembroke. Coker won their exhibition game last week against Team Life Sports 68-65.
