Men’s Volleyball Signs Trilla

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College men’s volleyball coach Todd Caughlin announced today that Emilio Trilla has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Cobras.

Trilla, an outside hitter and defensive specialist, comes to Coker from Timber Creek High School in Orlando, Fla. In his junior season he notched 238 kills, 150 digs, 53 blocks and 33 aces. He was also a team captain for Toreros Volleyball Academy, which was the 2010 AAU national runner-up.

“I’m excited to have Emilio become part of our program,” said Caughlin. “He brings a wealth of experience, as he has been playing the sport for most of his life. He’s a well-educated player that will be a strong addition for our first season as a team.”

Emilio is the son of Emilio Trilla and LiMarie Espada Trilla.
