HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The 2014-15 Coker Cobra fall sports schedules have been released. The Cobra women’s soccer, men’s soccer and women’s volleyball teams will each kick-off their respective seasons during the first week of September.
The men’s soccer team will be the first team to play at home next season with a pair of home matches on Sept. 4 and Sept. 6. The Cobras will host Emmanuel College on Sept. 4 at 7 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. home contest on Sept. 6 versus Florida Tech. The men will also host five South Atlantic Conference matches this season against Anderson (Sept. 20), Lenoir-Rhyne (Sept. 24), Queens (Sept. 27), Mars Hill (Oct. 11) and Tusculum (Oct. 25).
In contrast to the men’s schedule, the Cobra women’s soccer team will hit the road for a two-match swing at Clayton State on Sept. 4 and at Young Harris on Sept. 6 to begin the season. The first home match for the women will be on Wednesday, Sept. 10 against Georgia Southwestern at 7 p.m. Like their male counterparts, the women will play a three-match home stand against Anderson (Sept. 20), Lenoir-Rhyne (Sept. 24) and Queens (Sept. 27). They will then host Mars Hill (Oct. 11) and Tusculum (Oct. 25).
The women’s volleyball team will also begin its season on the road at the North Greenville Volleyball Tournament Sept. 5-6. The Cobras will take on St. Andrews, Columbia, North Greenville and Clark Atlanta during the two-day event. The women will then return home for a four-match home stand, including the very first event in the brand-new Harris E. and Louise H. DeLoach Center on Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. against Barton.
The 2014-15 season marks the Cobras’ second in the highly competitive South Atlantic Conference. Throughout the year Coker will take on the SAC’s 11 opponents as they hunt for conference and NCAA titles.
