Ambler Named Heritage Community Financial Services Athlete of the Month

Hartsville, S.C. – The Heritage Community Financial Services Athlete of the Month for December 2009, is Coker men’s basketball player, Mason Ambler (Atlanta, Ga.)

Ambler had a stellar month for the Cobras averaging a double-double with 20.25 points per game and 11.25 rebounds per game, while leading the Coker men to a 1-3 record. Mason’s best performance of the month came in Coker’s game against Wingate University. Ambler recorded a career high 32 points in the Cobras 72-67 win over the Bulldogs, snapping a three game losing streak.

On the year Ambler has recorded double-doubles in six out of the Cobras eight games, averaging 19.6 points per game and 10.6 rebounds per game, all while leading Coker to a 4-4 record overall and a 1-1 record in Conference Carolinas play.
