Cobras Squander Lead, Lose 11-10 to Alderson-Broaddus

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker baseball team was unable to come away with a win on Wednesday afternoon in a rain soaked game against Alderson-Broaddus College losing 11-10. The Cobras led 9-4 entering the fourth inning, but were shut down by the Battlers reliever Ronnie Whitt and the A-B bats came alive giving the Battlers the eventual win.

Golf (M):

Cobras Take Fourth at Barton Intercollegiate

WILSON, N.C. – The Coker golf team dropped four strokes and improved one spot to finish in a tie for fourth place at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Barton Intercollegiate Golf Tournament on Tuesday afternoon. The Cobras tied fellow Conference Carolinas opponent, Queens University of Charlotte, for fourth place with a team score of 592 (+16). Taking home the team title was Flagler College, followed by Barton College and then UNC-Pembroke.

Tennis (W):

Lady Cobras Drop Conference Match to Barton 8-2

WILSON, N.C. – The Lady Cobras tennis team fell to the Barton Lady Bulldogs in Conference Carolinas women’s tennis action 7-2 on Tuesday. The loss drops Coker to 2-7 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

Barton Defeats Coker 8-1

WILSON, N.C. – The Coker men’s tennis team dropped their fifth straight match of the season on Tuesday with a 8-1 loss to Barton College in a Conference Carolinas men’s tennis match. The loss drops the Cobras to 0-5 on the year and 0-2 in conference play.
